Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Page

The Department of Communication at UC Santa Barbara strives to foster a community that is reflexive in the pursuit of an inclusive working environment. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee works to facilitate and maintain a departmental culture that centers inclusivity, diversity of identities, and equitable access. The DEI committee is responsible for advancing strategies that enhance equity, diversity, and inclusion; creating equitable departmental policies; and upholding inclusive group norms for all in our community. When department members have concerns about interpersonal-level interactions, the committee can also help provide references to resources in and outside of the department.
