Department Awarded Grant on Creating a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive Climate

The Department of Communication was recently awarded a grant from the University of California.  The proposal, called “Creating a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive Climate in the UCSB Communication Department & Campus Community” was selected for a two-year award of $113,725 through the Presidential allocation to support UC efforts to improve campus climate and retain our faculty. These targeted expenditures will help the UC demonstrate effective ways in which funding can improve climate and retention for an increasingly diverse faculty who enrich our teaching, research, and service missions.
