Jasmine Gao and Chris Otmar Win Top Paper Award

Jasmine Gao and Chris Otmar won a top paper award at the 2023 Western States Communication Association Undergraduate Scholars Research Conference. The title is “Does the tiny blue checkmark matter? Ritualized use of media influences interpersonal perceptions of (un)verified social media accounts.” Jasmine is a third-year double major in communication and economics, and Chris is a Comm Ph.D. student.
