We had two faculty members depart, including one of the three founding members of the department, Tony Mulac, who arrived here in 1968 and retired this year. Tony will not go far away and in January 2007 will present a colloquium on his research.
We also had a wonderful visiting lecturer with us this year, Maggie Pitts, who will be joining the faculty of Old Dominion University.
