Comm Faculty and Students Win Top Paper Awards at International Communication Association Conference

Howie Giles, Doug Bonilla, Dan Linz, & Michelle Leah Gomez will receive the TOP PAPER AWARD from the Intergroup Interest Group for their study, “Police stops of and interactions with Latino and White (Non-Latino) Drivers:  Extensive Policing and Communication Accommodation.”  The paper will be presented at the International Communication Association [ICA] Conference, in Phoenix, AZ, May 24-28, 2012.

Jordan Soliz and Howie Giles will receive from the TOP PAPER AWARD from the Interpersonal Communication Division for their manuscript, “Communication accommodation theory:  A contextual and meta-analytical review.” Their paper will be presented at the ICA Conference, in Phoenix, AZ, May 24-28, 2012.
