Dr. Linda L. Putnam Receives 2012 Samuel L. Becker Distinguished Service Award from the National Communication Association

This award is given to a person who is judged to have made the greatest contribution to the association and to the profession during his or her career.  She is receiving this award for her immeasurable impact on the discipline through working with the National Research Council and Thomson Reuters Web of Science, and her leadership roles in the National Communication Association, the International Communication Association, and the Council of Communication Associations.
