Congratulations to Comm Doctoral Student, Yoori Yang! UCSB nominated Yoori's MA thesis for the 2017-2018 Distinguished Master's Thesis Award, presented by the Western Association of Graduate Schools and PROQUEST. Only two 2016-2017 MA theses were nominated for this prestigious award. One was nominated from the areas of Biological Sciences, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering. The other one was nominated from the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, and Business.
We congratulate Yoori whose thesis was selected among all of last year's theses from the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, and Business to be nominated for this award. Although she did not receive the award, being nominated is an enormous accomplishment.
